Mom & Me
Mother's Day is a special occasion to celebrate the unconditional love and support our moms give us. One of the best ways to celebrate this day is by reflecting on the special memories we've shared with our moms.
As children, we often take our mothers for granted, assuming that they will always be there for us. However, as we grow older, we realize the value of the small moments we shared with them. These memories are precious, and they remind us of the love and care our mothers have shown us throughout our lives.
Growing up, I fondly remember spending time with my mom. My most cherished memory of my youth was cooking with my mom. Occasionally, she would bring out the ground beef and carrots, and I knew it was time to make homemade egg rolls called Lumpia. I fondly recall stealing little pieces of egg roll wrapper while my mom wasn’t looking. My mom would always have me help wrap the egg rolls telling me how nice it was to have smaller hands. I cherish the memory of this process and can remember the delicious taste of the Lumpia that she would fry, and we would sit and eat a plate together.
As I've grown older, my relationship with my mom has evolved, but we still make time to create new memories together. Whether going out for lunch, send her a card, watching a movie, or just sitting and chatting over a glass of wine, I treasure our time together.
So, this Mother's Day, I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on your favorite memories with your mom. Whether it's a cherished childhood memory or a recent experience, take the time to share it with her and show her how much you appreciate everything she's done for you.
