👻 Meet the Scream Team
Besides the occasional haunt and perfectly timed jump scare, our “longest-tenured” employees are all about keeping our spirits high and the fun alive (or, in this case... undead?). Get to know them and see which greeting cards they’re sending to their favorite gremlins and goblins!
🪦 Gunter, Night Groundskeeper
Gunter has kept a watchful eye over the grounds where his family settled and Quilling Card now stands, after fleeing Salem, MA, in 1692.
Today, Gunter still patrols our warehouse with his pumpkin-turned companion, Pepe the Pomeranian. Off the clock, he’s moving boxes for sport, slamming doors for dramatic effect, and keeping the place, well... lively!
🎃 Cards for a Pump-KING!
Gunter’s #1 pick? The “Scarecrow,” of course! Although the memories are bittersweet, nothing makes Gunter happier than a card that reminds him of his glory days as a farmer, roaming the gourds of his award-winning pumpkin patch with Pepe. It’s no surprise then that he also adores the “Assorted Pumpkins” and “Stacked Pumpkins” designs—each one a little love letter to his past.
🔮 Greta, Data Analyst
Greta joined our team in 1694, trading in her potions and charms for spreadsheets.
She’s the brains of our operation, conjuring creative solutions, sales forecasts, and the latest trends with help from her trusty crystal ball.
After hours, you’ll find Greta with her nose deep in a spellbook, looking for a way to restore Pepe’s Pomeranian form.
🧹 Bewitched Picks!
Greta feels right at home with the “Cozy Autumn Cabin,” which shares an uncanny resemblance to her family’s post-Salem hideaway.
But, wands down, Greta’s favorite designs are the “Witch” and “Witch on a Broomstick.” Oh, how she longs for the nights of her youth—soaring through autumn trees under a full moon, leaves swirling around her in an enchanting kaleidoscope of color.
🪄Gracie, Director of Company Culture
Gracie has been setting the vibes (and the traps) at Quilling Card since 1728.
A champion of its employees and our resident queen of pranks, she believes that a truly welcoming workplace treats everyone like equal targets—yappy Pomeranians included (though she swears, she had nothing to do with Pepe’s current… situation).
In her 5-9 ritual, you’ll find Gracie stealing candy from babies and doom-scrolling through her mom’s crystal ball for gossip from beyond.
🐈⬛ Memorizing Meow-sterpieces!
Gracie is pure black-cat energy, so no one is shocked that her top pick is the “Mischievous Cat” card. And, because chaos is her love language, she also can't resist the dramatic flair of “The Scream” from our Artist Series Collection and the sweet charm of the "Sugar Skull” greeting cards—a cheeky little reminder of what her victims might look like before and after a successful prank.
🎃 Pepe, Office Pup
Once the fluffiest Pomeranian you ever did see, Pepe has been biding his time, plotting his revenge since 1733.
Still cute, but oh-so vengeful, he’s waited centuries for the perfect moment to get his retribution. Payback, like pumpkin pie, is best served cold.
🐾 Howling Hits
Pepe’s picks are the “Raven” and “Squirrel” cards, both tokens of his favorite pastime—chasing intruders through the pumpkin patch during his strolls with Gunter.
